Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that just lately we haven't had the usual 'huge' amount of technical questions about our beloved W140's!Are they getting better/more reliable with age and as various items are replaced or ......are owners now trading the W140 in and getting something more reliable?(Lexus etc)Just a quick observation after studying the last 2 months posts!

Personally, I have put a lot of money into making "usefull".
They are timeless pieces of art! And they get also very rare.
a bmw lock most times after couple years just old.
where a mercedes anyway is handling the time better then any other car!
(if u take care of her!!)
the only problem is the upkeep! ( for me)

I think that it is coincidence that the number of post droped since the facelift of this web site.. I for one could not use my old log in therefor was not able to post any replys and not only till i needed to ask a question I recreated a new account
Waiting for parts so I can get to the next step......
In the meantime, driving the infinity.
I'm looking for a place to send off the convenience relay or also called combination relay for repair/return. I'm not too excited about the $300 replace cost.
Best car I have ever owned. Bought (stole) my 97 S600 coupe two years ago with 13K miles on it. It handles better than my Audi twin turbo quattro. I plan to drive it to death - whichever happens first. As well as it is built, it may outlast me! I don't know that I will ever be able to buy another car this heavy.

I think you can tell when it is summer up there and how the W140 is getting 'better' when we get new threds every day that say "AC blower not working". I think what is happening though is that most of the parts in teh car have a limited life of say 10-12years max and alot are comming up for replacement. Of course it will be another 10 years or so before they are delt to again. I know I am in teh process of rebuilding my W140 bit by bit
these gorgeous works of art just keep growing in prestige as the newer models are undermined with cost cuts, etc. they will never make one like this again! keep them running guys!
