Hey Guys, I think that an additional set of fog lamps on my Sebastian would look great. If one could place them in the far corners of the lower grill, similar to how they are on some other models, it would add another refinement/enhancment, not that these cars need it, to play with.
So, my questions: has anyone done or had this done? If so, then where are these lights available? How about dash switches that fit in with the original decor? How would you attach the lights and finally, is there a better way to create an opening for them w/o undermining the intergrity of the grill? Please lemme know. THANKS! [8D]

RE: Can additional fog lights be installed?
nope. you will have to install a new body kit bimper for those fog lights. I wanted some as well, and i couldnt find any that would fit exaclty in those lower two pieces of the bumper. I am pretty sure that you will have to install a body kit.
Correct me if i am wrong.

Are you sure about that because there seems to be two panels that can be removed (I havn't tried)
See the two pannels in the lower of the front bumper, can those be removed?

yea. They can. i removed them before. They have wires underneath them that are connected, and they connect to something. Not quite sure what they connect to though.

Is one of them a thick black wire with a metal tip, is that the outside tempreture gague? Because I found somthing like that hanging out the other day I tied it up and it must be near hte engine cause now my temp on the digital display is all out of whack. Does that effect anything else?
that's the outside temperature sensor. it should be clamped to the inside of the small removable grill piece.
as far as fogs are concerned, I too have seen them but I'm not sure what the score with those is. I believe they were only there on pre-facelift models. mine are integrated.

With the sensor where it is my temp usually sits at about 44c will that effect teh running of the car extra fans ac etc?

hmmm. There must be a company that makes them for post facelift w140s. I would be interested, if they are cheap.

no that's just for the outside temperature display and (possibly but doubt it) aircon.
if your sensor is not seated properly spend some time to make sure it is - if you want your car to be spotless that is. there's a little clamp that you stick the sensor in and then screw the clamp to the inside of the grill piece. the sensor ends up being mounted lengthwise along one of the fins.

Yea I've been 'getting round to it' for a while and I think I may have buggered my aircon by overworking it, oh well my fault anyway
