yea. I live near this one outdoor carshow, and there are amazingly rich people there. They have $1MIL. Ferrari's. It is really amazing. I just start drooling every time i see them. They look and sound so good.
But not as good as all of our W140's.[;)]

W140s are still expensive in this country. Was looking on www.trademe.co.nz the other day (our local version of ebay) and found some early 90s 140s in excess of 30k, had low milege though but still considering the age they seem overpriced to hell. One that wsa an ex taxi (I know because I have seen it around) 275km on the clock the guy wanted 10k for it.

whoa. 10 K with that many miles. Thats pretty crazy. You can probably get one with that kind of mileage for about $4K-6K USD.

Well yea the car was only a 94 as well so its 12 years old. Although $1nz is worth less than $1US we have on average lower incomes in this country so I think in the states you have more buying power, so we get screwed both ways.
Should also be noted that that is a private sales price no a dealer price.
I even saw a 1989 e190 at a car lot the other day for "special weekend price 8990" with about 150km on the clock.

190's sell for about $4-5K here. The very best one will be about 7-8K. (Very best condition and Mileage)
Wow. i never knew it was that expensive in New Zealand. I have heard that in many asian countries, it would cost the eqivalent of about $65K for a 94 W140 with High mileage. So.... yea....
Yea I guess the best thing is that we don't have a great deal of tax on cars here. It costs me 200 for rego and about 90 for a WOF and those are my only road cost aside from fuel. about 1.55 for 98 octane [V]. I suggest you go to that site I gave you and check the prices for yourself www.trademe.co.nz

Hey guy's!
I'm from Norway, I bet one of the most expensive car countries in the world! In 1994 a S600 coupe wpould cost about 500 000 usd. Today I checked the price of a 1994 S600 Coupe, the only one for sale is a "bad" US import, for 75000 usd, with a claimed 65 000 miles. This sucks! I'm waiting for my import S600C 94, but the taxes are 48 000 usd to get plates on it....
