Im hearing alot of support for the 500. I could try the 500 but i will definatly have to get myself the 600 and see what all the fuss is about.

1 question, the other shape w220 s600 (1999 2002) with the 270kw or whatever, how would they compare to a 1997 w140 s600(in performance terms.

the w220 S600 is more powerful, but if you wanna feel like a king, go for the w140 S600.

does the S500 grand have hand stiching on the doors, center console, armrest, etc? because i know that it is hand stiched on the steering wheel, but not sure about everything else. Please inform me dante. Thanks.

Yes, all the leather is hand stiched. I will post some pictures in my gallery when I get a chance. In my opinion, the Grand Edition is the best benz ever built!

yes, but the doors, dashboard, center console, etc, are not hand stiched, Only the seats and the airbag cover are. Am I correct?. Nevertheless, your car is beautiful, and the grand editions are very good looking w140s. Very rare car you have got on your hands there as well. I also love the birseye maple wood on the 99 grands.

No it is not more powerful it has less power 20kw less

it is lighter, about 500 lbs lighter, I believe, than the W140.

I'm not sure if this is "hand stitched" everywhere or not, but is this the S600-esque, stitched leather to which you two are referring ?

nice car unshavenchauffeur. That is "hand stiched leather everywhere" What I meant by that, was on the doors, and on the dashboard. Not only the seats and steering wheel airbag. I believe that the grand edition does not have hand stiching on the doors and dashboard, but only on the seats, and the steering wheel airbag. Your car looks amazing unshavenchauffeur. I believe that the hand stiching on the S500 was an option in Canada, cuz they did not offer that option in the USA.

By the way UnshavenChauffeur, i dont believe that your steering wheel is handstiched. The wooden steering wheels had handstiching on them. Nevertheless, I love your car's interior.
