Crykey , you just kill'd me with that Elf , i cant even see the Keyboard in front of me Lol.
The Crakling comes most likely from the inside of the Centre Airvents Blower where the Fans are , it could b just a couple of Dried up Leaves in there , Open al Vents and turn the System on full Power to blow them out if they will come out that is,i had the same problem like it on my 380 i did this and it fix't it self .

if its the blower fan, why would the sound only appear only at high RPM though?
