Well about W126, I can say that I have the most unbiased opinion on this board because I never had W126 or even been in one or don't know much about it and I love it and I would want one although it's very old.

haha. Its ok. If you get one, you'd love it. They are really good cars. Just as good as the W140, and they are half the price for a really well maintained, low miles, good condition example.

w208cab, and k14ano. I totally agree with you. I really think that the w126 is really the last true mercedes, but the w140 is also very very good.
Interesting concept - which is the last true MB.... I'd also have to go with the W126 but, When i sit in a W140 - I still honestly feel that Mercedes Solidity. I do NOT feel that in newer MBs across the range. I'd still consider the W140 a true MB. Did you see it in the movie "the peacemaker" where he is trying to outrun the mafia / army cars?
