the maybach looks so much cooler than the w140 and 126. i rather drive anything than the 126, the w140 looks so terrible in that color. the maybach looks so much better than the other 2 simply because of its features inside, plus the price tag on that thing is way out of my budget. i can buy 36 s320's lol.
yea. although i am a w140 poster, i am also a w126 poster, and i defend both of my beautiful cars. I too would like to know why you wouldnt want to drive the 126.[?]

just simply look at the 126, i be so embarassed to be seen driving in that car. its like something pre-historic. i worry people would make fun of you. whenever i see a 126, i would think of some rich guy in the 80's, plus the design of the lights, grille, and 90 degree bummpers, everything in the car, makes this car a definate no no. like i said i would drive anything but be seen in the 126. i keep thinking in my head people would make fun of you, driving such an old mercedes, old doesnt make it classic, just old. well beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder, i am sure some people will like it, no matter how it looks.

I like both W140 and W126 a great deal. In fact I've considered buying a W140 in the near future. Yeah the W140 does look more modern and has a few more nifty gizmos. But I'm yet to see anyone being imbarrassed or made fun of driving a 126. When I drove my car to school I was instantly the most popular kid. Very few people know it's an 80's model Mercedes, most people think it's a mid 90ish type Mercedes. And many different car makers have pretty much copied the W126s basic designs, that's why it doesn't look that old compared to say a 1998 Buick. Many people consider it the last real Mercedes-Benz ever made... It's not because I own a W126 that I disagree with most of what you said, it's because I have a respect for Mercedes-Benz old or new.

i have both, and i am not embarrased of either. In fact, i drive my w126 most of the time. I only drive the w140 every other day.
Everytime I see a good condition W126 on the street, it takes my breath away. I've never had a W126 but I love the styling. W126 and W140 are in my opinion, the best looking Benz ever made. Maybe it has to do with these cars very being popular while growing up.
