i dont know what exactly he means by "bents" if he is talking about small bents at the lip, fix shouldnt be that hard.

however if the rims are out of balance, i doubt if they are even fixable...

WIll these wheels balance? Or are they impossible to fix? I would like to put these on my 500SEL, but need to make sure they are still usable. Let me know!

having bends on your rims sounds pretty worrying...

Ackvig has been a long time respected member of Benzworld, and I can vouch for him. His sincerity in describing the rims reflects his honesty. If you can live with the problems with the rims get them for a great price. The other problem with these rims is that tyres will run about $200 a piece = $800 +$100 balancing and mounting = $900 every 2 years!!!

RE: My 19" AMG W140 (W220?) Monoblocks on Ebay CHEAP

Sorry guys, just getting back online. I've had an AMG Monoblock on my 190E practically flayed out at the lip, and was told all around that it could not be fixed. Just by chance, I was referred by one tire shop to this grimey little machine shop and they had it fixed and rolling and straight as an arrow, (those wheels are sitting in my attic now, seeing as how, not long after, I got T-boned at an intersection). And that wheel was WAAY worse than these wheels. In good faith, I think they can be fixed easily, and in fact, WOULD do it if I had something to put them on that my wife wasn't driving.

Sell update. Pending sale to a Benzworld member who lives here locally TODAY. If/when transaction happens, I'll update here.

Wow! Thanks, ychachad[:I]. Seriously, I've reflected everything that I can relay about the wheels. The only thing I have not done is physically take them to the repair shop myself.

It's a pleasure to help you out. What are friends for? Best of luck with the sale.

BTW, how did the rims, all 4 of them get damaged? Are the wheels warped, or just have localised bens at the outer rim where it was struck by potholes? This is the second premium set you have had for sale now. What are you going to put on her next? Back to stock rims?
