Not gettiing the right parts when ordering online.
I ordered a fuel filter in nov and just yesterday I came around to installing it. I pull off the old filter and immediately realize theres a difference not only in diamater but also in length. I had ordered a spacer to adjust for its diamater however there was nothing stated when buying the filter for length adjustment. I had to go to the local parts store and buy a puralator filter, at first I was kinda upset since I tried to do the right thing ordering a german part and now iam getting a puralator. Then I noticed the bosch filter isntalled was made in mexico, the puralator was made in israel and seemed to be very identical to the bosch. Well it was a hassel, trying to finish the job and you run into something like this that isnt your fault. The end fittings on the new filter were to fit my fuel lines, it was just an inch too short. Have any of you came across this problem? If not becareful when ordering especially if the filter calls for spacers. Puralator was an exact fit. I ordered the hengst listed on this page.
