Water pump question 93 300se 3.2l

i have a leak but i dont think its the water pump its coming from behind the pump it looks like to me there is a cover with a gasket that is leaking before i go to shop has anyone had this prob i see the anti frezze coming out from the cover nut thats wht i dont things its the water pump whats right behind iy anyone

I might be able to help you here. A couple of years ago I had a similar problem and no one seemed to be able to figure out was was going on. It turns out that on the '93 model 300SE there is a box (I know there must be a better word for this)that cools oil on one side and anti-freeze on the other. It seems that it has a high level of failure, but since it is only on the '93 300SE (at least that is what I was told) most people don't know what it is or how to diagnosis it. If I recall the part was about $250. Before it was all said and done I ended up paying close to $3000 trying to fix this leak. I may be wrong as to this being your problem, but at least look at it could save you a ton of money. Lets us know what you find out.
