What is so AMG about this "AMG" Coupe 140?
look at this 1996 S500 Coupe "AMG"
this guy says its an AMG, but i don't see anything "AMG" besides the rims, and the badge on the back. I think it is just a euro car that has been eqipped with some monoblock rims, and a slapped-on AMG badge. It is so stupid how people on ebay just put an AMG badge on their mercedes and call it an AMG.
It's another Ebay rebage, beging sold as "real". Remember, you can state anything on Ebay, and argue later. And unless you really know these cars (see also Grand 98[sic] on sale at ebay on another post), then he'll never really get any argument at all. Until AFTER he's got the $$.
At that point, Ebay will support the seller, as he's sold 77 cars along these lines before, and Ebay has made their $$. I've seen dozens of negative feedbacks simply removed from a crooked sellers list.
End result - he'll sell the car to some fool who hasn't done his homework, and thinking he's getting an AMG. But won't be to anyone hanging around this forum.

yea. I hate it how people just slap on some amg badges, and actually sell it as an amg. That 99 grand, (or maybe i should say 98) could be another fake mb. That is so dumb how people buy a car, thinking it will be one thing, but it ends up to be another.
hmmm. how come he has two different VIN numbers. I had check it in the EPC system and the WDBGA70E7TA316620 is made in March 1996( code 040 Canada Special version),
while the VIN 1400701A261119 was made April 1995 (German version)

he says this, but why wouldn't it recognize it? both VIN's are 17 characters long. And why would this guy go out of the way to get someone else's VIN number from a different Coupe 140?
