Radio Antenna Replacement

Are there after market power antenneas that will work with a 95 S 420? My radio still works fine, but I am sure during one of my trips it will start to die out.

RE: Radio Antenna Replacement

if the motor is still working, take it off and clean it up and grease it, it will work forever.

If the mast is broken, replace it... its like 20 bucks or so. No need to upset the fine breed of the stock benz accessories if you dont have to...

RE: Radio Antenna Replacement

In 95 they went to an inglass antenna for AM (rear window), the FM was in the rear bumper. The splitter is in the rear pillar. The power antenna was for the CEll-Tel, dont have it dont need it' "95 Intro to service manual"

RE: Radio Antenna Replacement

I have been told that the power antenna has nothing to do with the radio. It is for the phone system and that the radio antenna is built into the rear window. Anyway, the mast is very changeabe and cost about $90 for OEM and $30 for aftermarket.

RE: Radio Antenna Replacement

I dont know about it not having anything to do with the radio. Seems to me that when I put mine "broken" all the way down, the radio reception stinks!
