yes...they are original mb rims. regarding whether or not they were chromed, i have no idea. but i'm going to be having all of them repaired next summer, without chroming.

the holes in between the lug nuts, are there to serve a purpose.

at the time that mb was issuing these 8 hole rims, the wheel alignment machine that they were providing the main dealers, needed to be hooked onto the wheel. it was like a mirror type of system....quite antiquated frankly.

each of those mirrors had 5 prongs which fitted into these holes.......sort of a automated centering system.
