TRISCO code scanner..Any Users Here?

I purchased A Trisco Scanner some time ago.

I am unhappy with its performance, maybe it is defective. Does any User has similar problems?
Most of the time it will not read the codes. The display reads ...Communicating... and than no data from ECU.
I have the same problem with using it on my 92 500 and the 95 600
It just does not want to work!! Its Version V3.1
Any advice?
Thanks
Werner

RE: TRISCO code scanner..Any Users Here?

I have a Palmscanner too. I needed to send it back for analysis twice since I've had it (about 2.5 years). The supplier has been very good about it. I would suggest you call your supplier, and let them know what problems you're having. The "good" thing is that it is consistent between two different cars. I found that using the home-made blinker in conjunction with the scanner gets me the best results. Are you certain you're following the instructions correctly? Also make sure your batteries are at 12 volts or higher when pulling codes. Anything lower could cause false codes. You might want to try pulling codes with the car running. It should work.

Yes I need to call the supplier and ask them to have the Scanner tested. I have the same year S600 like you, but I am unable to cummunicate with the ECU. I will try running the engine, I did not know that it would work that way. Basically I am disappointed about its capability. One time I could read some codes, but than It would not erase them.
