hi i am working on a 95 s320.california
symptoms hesitate on acceleration
code stored p0600 data link mulfunction.
need a flowchart to diagnose the code.
the symptoms.
engine rpm would not go over 1700 rpm if you keep the pedal pressed the engine will surge up and down, i had a snap on scaner hooked up and the absolute throttle readings was always zero i'am suspecting the throttle actuator,
or the n4/3 module.
is their any way to test the throttle actuator?
See http://www.baxnet.com/merc/ on EA notes. P0600 is a "Serial Communication Link" generic error code. Without a more detailed code it may be hard to diagnose...
I JUST tested the voltage at the throttle harness
and found no ref voltage at the plug , no 5v anywhere.
i puled the module n43 out and tested wire continuity
between the throttle plug and the module harness
everything is ok.
I 'm suspecting the module now.
probably your module but make sure voltage is supplied to your module. check all fuses just to remind you in case you miss this little bastards. please let us know of the outcome. []
