Model cars

I collect diecast model cars of all the autos that I've owned. None have been problematic until I bought a W140 body style. Does anybody know of a manufacturer of the 140?

Thanks!

You know you're German if:
You went to school in a Gymnasium
You check your shoes for candy on December 6
You have real candles on your Christmas tree
You know a Frankfurter is a person not a hotdog
Schnitzel with noodles is your favorite meal, not a song in a cheesy musical!
You drive the Autobahn in a Mercedes-Benz at the speed of sound!

I collect diecasts 1:18 Mercedes and BMW models. So far the W140 style is not being made by manufacturer.I did e-mailed all the diecast maunfacturer out there about making the W14o with no reply[:o)]But if you collect smaller 1:43 scale-I think there's one by Herpa and it's pricey for a small scale.

RE: Model cars

I have seen a 1:18. It was hot rodded and was purple color. That's why I didn't buy it. Next time I see them, I'll let you know.

I collect the models of cars I love too.

RE: Model cars

I can't really remember... a couple of years ago perhaps...

It's lowered and got huge rims... a gangster W140. I still have not found a decent W140 model.

I read in Car and Driver last month's issue that W221 models have been made and stocked up already in China. "These model manufacturers would only make models that would sell well and they have to pay licenses fees to auto manufacturer. And on the models that won't sell well, auto manufacturers pay these model makers and put an order on amount of models they would buy for their parts stores. Otherwise models like Saturn Vue would never have been made into a model car."-car and driver.

Well since Auto Art company makes the 190E in 1:18.I think there's a chance of every older benz being made in scale 1:18.Lets hope it will come true.[:D]

I wish ebay has them. Last time I checked, there were a bunch of W220 on ebay and no W140.

From Gateway company,
Hi,
Thank you for your inquiry.
We are interested in making some classical Mercedes-Benz models in near future.
Moreover, we will make those modern MB if it is hot. The W140 S class is too late for us. We will consider the next S-Class.
Best regards,
Gateway Global
