[:(]My passenger side mirror is kinda broken guys. I was having the car washed when the guy wiping the car down pushed on it an it went to a halfway "open position." I used the motor to try and reset but it won't come to rest in it's proper spot. There is a small gap where you can still see the innards. I thought to myself that it shouldn't have come apart with such little pressure.
Sure enough, when I checked the previous owners service records he had the mirror repaired by the dealer. The invoice even had a comment that the dealer suggested replacement and the customer insisted that it be repaired. Obviously not a very good job.
So my question is, can this be repaired? How much should it cost? Is there something I can do to fix it myself? I really not in the mood to by a replacement for $450. THANKS!
Bad Desert_fax Bad, you must wash a 140 yourself if you want it done propertly. You may let your Butler do it but you must whip him if its not right.
Woo hoo ,,where can you get a mirror for only $450.??The insurance Co. paid $1100, when mine was damaged by the lower hooligan classes.

If one of your mirrors isn't opening as much as it should - i.e. it's only half-way open - then try closing them both fully and then opening them again by using the inside electric mirror button thingy. If not the first time then do it 2 or 3 times. Close fully (untill the buzzing stops) then open fully (again, untill the buzzing stops) and then close and open again and see if it's ok. It should be.
