W126 1991 500SEL to W140 1997 S320L

Love my 91 500SEL, almost feel like the shape is the best as I am so fond of it. Fully loaded re heated seats etc. but staring to fear something could go bang anytime now as although the cars are built to last longer than I probably will it's now no a new car (and hasn't had MB services for some time - although I've kept an eye on it since getting 3 years ago).

Now tempted to go for a car that is available via my brother (who is a car dealer, Bentley/RR/etc) who took it off a gent emigrating to Hong Kong.

So, questions... yes the old chesnut - will it feel drastically underpowered? I'd sooner go for a 500/600 but the price I'll get on this car means it's not actually an option to hunt another (ie this is an offer I cannot refuse!).

Are all W140's double-glazed? Heated seats an option? (I'm seeing the car soon, just curious even though the answer awaits me!).

Also - wheels... the ones on there I don't really like, can anyone tell me if they were ever standard on the car/what they are?

That's not the actual car but it virtually identical (ie silver, black leather interior and with those alloys).

Fist of all what country do you come from?
In Europe everything was extra; it came from factory without AC, and with steel rims and plastic caps…
It had although power windows and sunroof as a standard feature. From the model year 1992/3 (I don’t remember) double glazing came standard, but in the beginning it was extra.

In Europe it was like all other Mercedes cars, they come with nothing, but they could be ordered with everything…
From wine cooler, ice cube machine, and microwave to more normalized like metallic paint etc.

London, England. Just found out the dealer has taken a deposit from someone else, so it appears the car is lost :-(

I will continue the search.
