Before long my '92 300SE is going to need some new leather seat covers (fronts for sure). My interior is 'cream' and I am having a diffiuclt time finding replacements. Does anyone know of a good reasonably prices source for replacement leather seat covers?

RE: '92 300SE Interior
I have the parchment interior too and my front seats were, well rather worn. I got estimates on replacing the leather and with the cheapest at $1800 a seat I thought about buying new covers and doing it myself until I talked to a friend that had done it and was told a few things:
1) The seat must be taken out of the car (this by itself was enough to discourage me. The darn thing weighs a ton!).
2)There is some upholstery work that needs done that I, quite frankly wasn't up to.
If you are dead set about doing it I suggest that you contact your dealer to find a price. I was told not too long ago that MBUSA's prices for the leather covers are not that bad. I also suggest that you call Performance Products in L.A. and see what they have.
The alternative that I would suggest is sheepskin seatcovers. The ones that performance sells are quite comfy, look great, and if an idiot like me can put them on anybody can do it. I didn't get the top of the line ones, but the middle priced ones that ended up at $425 for the covers and the armrest cover (which was a mess as well). If you get them they color that they list as "Pearl" is really parchment.
Good luck and let me know how you make out.
Cheers!

You know you're German if:
You went to school in a Gymnasium
You check your shoes for candy on December 6
You have real candles on your Christmas tree
You know a Frankfurter is a person not a hotdog
Schnitzel with noodles is your favorite meal, not a song in a cheesy musical!
You drive the Autobahn in a Mercedes-Benz at the speed of sound!
There is a company called GAHH, they sell seat covers. I purchased a new seat bottom for my 92 for less than $300 I think a whole seat is $600. I started the project and gave up, the cover is held in by an inverted channel with clips there are also other clips holding the cover. I am very good with tools and things, and yes it is a two man job to remove the seat. There are many wires hoses and the "bowden" cable that adjusts the seat belt height. The bolts are easy the rest is difficult.
