Interior recirc filter

Hello all:

This is my first post at this great site. I have a '99 S320 with 112,000 smooth miles. Still looks and smells new! I searched the resource section and did not find a specific anwser to my question.
With regards to changing the recirc filter in the passanger footwell, I removed the two screws but nothing came loose - everything was still tight down.
Are ther more screws that I'm missing or do I need to just bop it loose?
Thanks in advance.

RE: Interior recirc filter

Welcome Kaiwah! There are two latches that need to be turned 90 degrees (1/4 turn) counterclockwise to pull the panel out. I strongly suggest you get a subscription to Alldata.com. It has the instructions for this operation, as well as all sorts of other info you will need for you W140. If you do decide to purchase an Alldata subscription, I'd like to ask you to do so using the Alldata link on my webpage. I get a small commission which helps me pay for hosting my page. It's the same low price. Click on the v12uberalles.com link at the bottom of my signature. Thanks, and lots of luck with your W140!
