Headrest not coming up

The headrest on 95 S420 just stopped working.

I got the front ones working when I at the same time hold the electric button and push them higher.

The rear ones dont want to stand up (they are not powered in the 95 models) they fall down immediatelly.

thanks

RE: Headrest not coming up

I think I saw your question on another Forum? In case it wasn't you, this should help with the front head rests...

Are you sure your rear head rests are not powered? They are in mine, and I have a 95 model year.

Two way electric powered rear headrests are optional extra in all other models but the 600 In Europe that is..
I guess that it is only electric in the 600 in US as well.

If the headrests don’t stay up, go check the vacuum lock that is situated in the trunk.

RE: Headrest not coming up

thanks everyone for great answers,

pcmaher.. The rear headrests are not powered, there is only a button to drop them down. I guess S600 is a different story.

Simen...where in the trunk should I look for the vacuum lock

bouzouki...what part do you mean is $20

thanks again
