This is a very open-ended question. It will depend on a several factors, some of which are:
- Dealer service or Independent mechanic?
- What needs to be done?
- Parts purchased from MB or OEM?
I would say dealer service and MB parts, and they should do everything what is in the book.
I understand that if they find something wrong it will cost unspecific more ,but there must be a kind of a "package" price for the service?
If I find one for $300 that would be a bargain for the big service, which includes change of brake fluid ,automatic transmition and so on.
I checked already here and had a quote from the Dealer for $800,that's why I asked how much you guys pay.
I read your posts and I think you don't have the problem because you can do everything yourself.
Wanna come to Florida?

RE: 60000 Miles Service
Not being sure about the American intervals, it is about 4 hours labour, and addition on extra work like brake fluid, dust filter, coolant e.g. on the European 90 000km service.
A total on 7 hours at a cost of 1200,- pr hour in Norway that equals 8400,- plus maintenance parts, a total close to 13 000,- I should think.
That is about 2000 USD.

Oil+filter, spark plugs and wires, front brakes pads changed, brake fluid bleed, A/C refrigerant top off, coolant changed, tranny fluid changed, air filter changed, distributor caps and rotors changed and new wiper blades comes out to be a whopping $2,400-$3,000 when I shopped around between recommended good MB indys and stealerships.
It only keeps going up from there.....depending on how much more work you want done.
One thing is there for sure - pay now or pay later, either way you'll pay.
