Thanks guys[:)]. This forum is filled with people sharing their knowledge and experiences...you two guys are up there in lights. It would be great to make millions doing this, but that's not going to happen. Next best thing is to share with those that can use it.

RE: Duovalve Assembly Rebuild Instructions

Wow! I just finished reading your instructions for rebuilding the duo valve assembly. Needless to say, I’m very impressed with your engineering skills and especially your ability to document and communicate the procedure in a manner that we can all understand. I don’t have a V12, but I’ve used your website as a reference on other problems with my W140.

I wanted to say “THANK YOU for taking the time to help others. As we have all discovered, our quest to keep our S-Class MB running can sometimes be a frustrating endeavor and it’s nice to have others to share our experiences with - especially those who offer help.

My AC climate control unit is indicating (error codes) a problem with the auxiliary coolant pump so I’ll be visiting the duo valve assembly soon. I was curious in your search to repair your duo valves, if you were able to locate a source to purchase the duo vales or/and auxiliary pump as separate parts. I’ve only be able to locate the part as a single replacement unit at approx $550. I did notice were someone used the duo valve assemble from early model C-class to repair their w140 duo vale.

RSMC I have to express the same thanks to PCMaher. I am also curious what codes did you get for your ac as I am in the middle of solving a problem with mine I got E047,E075.E083.E099, and E103.KrJF says the first four a sequential whatever that means.You might try 1 800 458-0036 X 303 ask for Anthony . I got my evaporator,expansion valve, drier from them.

RE: Duovalve Assembly Rebuild Instructions

I'm glad you all found the article useful and interesting. I'm happy to do it. Some quick searching found this price...

http://catalog.eautopartscatalog.com/mercedesshop/sophio/wizard.jsp?partner=mercedesshop&clientid=catalog.m ercedesshop&baseurl=http://catalog.mercedesshop.com/&cookieid=1LD0IG56Y1LJ0U512N&year=1995&make=MB&mod el=S-600-001&category=R&part=ACC+Mono+Valve

I too heard that someone (maybe W140Gill?), used C class components to fix his duovalves.

My codes were;

E130 and 131, Left Rear Heater Core Temp Sensor open or short circuit (false code)
E158 and 159, Left duovalve open or short circuit (true).

RE: Duovalve Assembly Rebuild Instructions

Interesting... when I price the unit for the S600 the price is $282. But when I price the 92 400se it's $488. The parts on duo valves and auxilary pump look the same. I'm wondering if I could purchase the S600 part and move the duo valve and pump to my existing pluming on the 92 400se.
