Hi,
I am new to this site and hope someone has the answer.
When I open and close the passenger door the automatic closer works fine, the windows go up and down correctly. The problem is that after the rear side window goes all the way up, it then backs down 5mm. I can manually put it up the rest of the way and it will stay. Sometimes after opening and closing the door it will work correctly. Any help would be appreciated.
That can happen because of batttery disconnect or shortage of power.Put the window up fully (not with auto up but by applying constant pressure to the button) and after its up, hold the button in the up position for more than 5 seconds. Then bring it all the way down and hold the button in the down position for more than 5 seconds.
You may have to do it more than a few times. Be patient and you will reset the computers
Let me kow if it works

I spoke to soon, it works then it doesn't, then it does. It has a mind of it's own. It is odd how the rear window goes up all the way after the door closes and then backs down.
Is there a sensor telling it to reverse? Does anyone know how the complete switching mechanism works.
Are you having possible losses of current. Mine used to need to be reset frequently when left out on cold days and battery charge was low. Also occasionally after car washes or in very moist areas.
As long as mine is garaged overnight and not in cold area or experience loss of power it works fine. try resetting again. Check battery
Good Luck

I dropped it off at the dealer today. Fortunately it worked and then did not work for them to see. I will post the results, when I get it back. The car is in Southern California with a warm, dry climate.
Update: I got the car back today. The problem was a micro switch. The dealer replaced the door lock assembly under warranty. Everything works fine.
Have A Great Day
