i believe most of us here are second or third owners, and most likely are of younger age. i myself is 22. whats the average age range of everyone on this forum?
I was 21 when i got my first benz...it was a used car, everybody laughed at me and ask why i want an old mercedes when i could use that amount of money to get a used civic/accord.............
i love benz.... but not the new w220, dont ask me why
i was 26 wen i got my w140 s600, im 27 now, i got my 1st benz wen i was still in high school, it was a 1978 200d w123, the same year that i was born, hehe, many say that im a fool to like old benz's coz the price of an old benz can get u a more reliable 2nd hand jap car, but i tell them this, my passion for the benz brand will be forever, and there's no changing that, and i do think that the old mercs are also as reliable as the jap cars,
I'm willing to bet that I am the youngest W140 owner on the forum and possibly ever.... I purchased my 1993 500SEL from a local dealer, who happened to have it on ebay when I was 16!! I also got the same crap from everyone telling me to buy a honda or another Asian car because they were cheap to fix. I love my Benz!! Yeah, its expensive, but it is the best looking, most well made, and one of the most powerful cars on the road! I am currently 18 and am looking into selling this one to upgrade to a newer W140. Possibly an S600, if I can find one with low enough miles and a reasonable price.... Just wanted to share that you don't need to be old to know great things!! [:D]
