Car seems slower. Maybe the engine is retarded slightly? Gear shifts do not seem any different. The noise is still present and horrendously annoying. I am expecting my new strut to arrive Tuesday. I'm not following what you mean by leaving it hooked up. The computer does not like what I did, but I haven't had any time to pull codes. I would be willing to bet it's going to tell me I have trouble with all four damping valve assemblies. After all, the wires coming from the ADS module are all cut with nothing on the ends anymore. I'm sure it's perceiving this as open windings at all four corners. I'm going to try and find some 12 ohm power resistors that can handle the wattage, and see if that fools the computer into thinking the damping valves are still hooked up. This weekend is shot though, no time for "fun" stuff like this.

"Speed is just a question of money...how fast you wanna go?"
I got my strut today. Had to go to the dentist for root canal after work. He finished early, so I had time to run over to buy some strut hydraulic fluid before the parts place closed. Got home, and pulled the old creaking strut out. Removed the new strut bump stop from the old strut. Gonna save that for a needy soul. Put the new strut in. While I was jacking up the lower control arm, I heard that damn creak again! I thought, Oh Crap! don't tell me I bought this strut for nothing! Is it a lower ball joint or something like that? I had my son jacking the control arm up and down while I tried to pinpoint the source. Couldn't really nail it down. Since I had the strut in, I thought I might as well keep going. Finished it up, and I cycled the struts about 5 times to get the air out of the system. Took it for a drive, and didn't hear any creaking. I hit the brakes hard to make the nose dive, and then let off the brakes to compress the rears. Still no noise. Did a rapid slalom to extend and compress the strut, and still no noise. I think it's fixed. Tomorrow will be a good test, as it's supposed to be pretty hot in Chicago. It creaked really bad when hot. I'll let you all know if it stays quiet tomorrow.
The Beast is quiet again! It was the strut. Thank goodness. I also ordered eight 12 ohm resistors that can handle 20 watts. I'm going to hook them up to the cut leads that are coming from the ADS module to see if that fools the computer. I am still interested in getting the ADS to work correctly. As soon as I can get my hands on a spare battery, I'll put it all back the way it should be and see what happens. By the way, the subject of this thread has crossed over into my ADS thread. I'll be posting future replies into that one from now on. Ciao!
I would really like to access your database of knowledge. You seem to be a wealth of imformation on the 600. However, when I access your site, there is not a link to see any of your projects...only the email link. Please help.
