Ventilation problem S320 W140

Could any one advise me what could be the problem with the fan speed control of the ventilation system.
The fan only goes at the lowest speed and will not respond to the movement of the speed control wheel at all. Has any one else had a similar problem or is there an easy way to recify this irritating problem.
Many Thanks
Willemoz

Likely the blower regulator. A search of this forum will reveal many discussions.

Thanks Brett, I have since read a lot of solutions to the problem. Now all I have to do is get it replaced.
Many Thanks for your response.

if you have the pollen filter switch fitted on yous the flow of air is very low when it is on but blowsa gale when switched off.. depends how cloged the filter is ,,to check run it on recirculate.. see if you get a good flow from that first..oh yes and there are some simple checks to run find them in the knowlege base at the top of the main page..
