Joining the W140 club - What's the best year for the S420?
I went to the High Line auction today looking for my new (to me) S420, but I want to make sure to look for the best year(s)... I have read lots of forum posts on common issues (A/C evaporator, wiring harness, etc.) and would like to know - What's your opinion?
Were most of the issues worked out by 1997, or should I target a 1998/1999 model?
We haven't had an MB in the family since the old days (many fond memories in the 240D), and I'm not as smart as I need to be on the newer models.
I hope that your wealth of experience can help me choose the best S420 out there.
