My 93 600sel clicks in reverse, sort of a ticking noise only when backing up. In all other respects it runs perfectly, no slipping or jerking. I had it serviced a few hundred miles ago and forgot to mention it to the dealer. Usually they are happy to find any problems. has anybody else experienced this and what is the cause and or remedy?
I think have that same click, its only one click no more, and only in reverse. It seems to be external with a lound and clear click, not sure if its normal since i have a 3 seconds delay before i start moving in reverse. It sounds like some locking mechanism releasing. It also wouldnt do it when i sat in the same spot switching from reverse to drive, i had to drive around the block.
