I would like to know more about the engine part of the S600. I know there is some updates in the M120 engine as their number is different
91-95 M120.980
95-99 M120.982
So what changes mercedes has made?
Some said the 95-99 engine is more stable, but hard to tell because it is relatively new...
One major advantage is no distributors, caps, and rotors. Also has an improved fuel injection system, and engine component wiring more likely to be of the new non-disintegrating type.
I'm pretty sure this change occured for model year 96. I have a S600 built in 10/94 that is considered a 95 model year, and it has the 120.980 engine.
