www.alldatadiy.com and $25 goes a long way. Also someone posted on

removing his sunroof several months ago. You should be able to search and find the thread. He was having trouble removing one particular bolt as I recall.

RE: Can I remove the sunroof?

If you are replacing the seal around the outside, it can be done with a little patience. Get the seal from MB $150, lay it out to let it settle. There are two versions (glass roof or metal)at least on my 92. The seal is one piece and there is a front and rear, also a up and down to it, take a good look how your old one is installed. It is pushed into a channel in the roof. I took the old one out, the secret is put in the "corners" first and then work the sides in. I used a plastic wallpaper roller to seat it. A little soapy water in the groove will also help, but should not be required.
