92 600 Blower Motor - Benzworld.org

Hello,

I am new here. I have a bad blower motor. It seems that one can buy JUST the motor. I have entertained this thought but have a problem with the squirrel cage that is "attached" to the motor. How do you remove this without damaging the cage? Any thoughts or procedures would be appreciated.

The squirell cage pops straight off the shaft. I changed one recently. Put a screwdriver between the aluminum frame and base of the cage on two sides (180 apart) and gently pry up. The motors can be had for about $90.
