Dome light will not turn off, had to remove bulbs.

My sunroof reading/chart lamp will not turn off, I called the dealer and they dont sell just the switch. I would have to order the whole piece for $230. Where can I look to trouble shoot? can I pop that switch off or do I need to remove the whole light and switch housing, anyone had this problem?

Yes, my dealer removed it then reinstalled it and the problem went away.
