I have becker exquist and all other bose stuff. just take HU's cd-changer input, put relay with "double pins" between the changer and HU, and thats it. put one cd in the changer, and push play, then click the additional swits(I used the rear windows childlock swits) and the input is enabled. my ipod works fine, sound quality is very good, like cd-changer.
next DIY jobs:
to find nice holder for ipod ( orig. handsfree console already in car)
to buy car charger for ipod and connect it to HU's remote lead.
The Monster iCruze is compatible with the stereo in the W140.. at least mine, the 96 model stereo, probably even the newer ones. It connects where the cd changer normally connects in the rear of the head unit, and so your stereo thinks the iPod is a cd changer, but instead of 6 cd's it's 6 playlists, this is what i'm going to buy i'm just not sure where to find one because they dont seem to have them on their website and no car audio places around here have it...

Hello everyone,
Does anyone uses iPod in their W140? I bought one (mini in light green) and so far it has about 500 songs already. I use the cassette adaptor for sound.
If you have one, where do you usually keep it? i was thinking about sticking the already provided holster on near the dash for quick access.
Any thoughts are welcome!

I use the I-pod same as you do. Its now in the hands of the becker/bose guru now, at a cost of 450$ can. and I was thinking that I could have a wire put in the old grand prix to use the i-pod. Sometimes the cass adapter wont comply and keeps flipping from trrack 1-2 ...very annoying.

I called Becker in NJ this afternoon. It's $100 and the aux cable will be 4' long. The process takes about 5 days. Just ship them your head unit and they will make then change and send it back.
Judging by their website and the absolute lack of new product, I'd say that their business is rather quaint. I wouldn't be surprised if an invoice is hand written and sent by mail.
