I agree it would be nice to have some background on everyone out there, doesn't have to be intrusive stuff, just a few simple details would do.

Some people don't even put what country they're from !!!!!!!!!

It's interesting to note that the most moaning about empty profiles is done by people who are opposed to national ID cards.

Now correct me if I'm wrong but why exactly would you need to know someones name, country of origin, hair colour, sexual preference, salary, taekwondo prowess, etc etc in order to interact with them re. w140? I can't think of one good reason.

Maybe I'd want to know if someone works for a mercedes dealership so I can bombard them with questions, but all else is of no consequence.

Oh, and by the way, I'm from Richmond in Surrey.

The benefit in some background is that it creates a more friendly environment in which to hold discussions, with some prior knowledge it also gives way to some friendly banter, which can only be a good thing.To prove a point in taking the mick out of peoples attire, It probably would have been pointed out that the picture depicts a Tai-Chi (Chinese) stance as opposed to a Taekwondo (Japanese) stance. Therefore we all learn something, but in a friendly manner. Besides I'm to old for the active stuff.

A point of interest, I have relations in Chicago, Have had several holidays there, wonderful city, and I love Navy Pier.
