Used is very hard to come by. 1995 W140 is OBD, not OBD II, so the scanners are more money. I bought one from Jim F. It was the best deal I could find. I'm happy with it. Follow this link...

"Speed is just a question of money...how fast you wanna go?"
OBD2 was introduced in 1996 for all US cars. I think the US was the first
to require it. I don't think Europe jumped on the OBD2 bandwagon until much more recently. (I could be wrong)
Google OBD2 or similar on the web and read about it.
Start here for example,
http://www.obdii.com/connector.html
If not OBD2, the car likely has Mercedes' OBD1 system. If I recall correctly, it has a round 38-pin connector located in the same box as the various control modules. This box (in my car) is in the engine compartment on the passenger side abutting the firewall. You can open it see if that connector is there.

Dear Brett,
I want to thank you for your efforts. You are indeed correct, in 1995 the system was a OBD I and it was analog. Additionally, I do have a 38-pin connector.
If you come across somone who has a scanner to sell or ?, please contact me.
