After six months of restoration and upgrades I finally had the opportunity to take my S-600 out for a spin on Sunday along Pacific Coast Highway. Stopped at Malibu County Line to take a few snaps.
I am pleased with the results, she looks rather lethal in her new colours. Upgrades include a total re-spray from silver to black using Mercedes-Benz Stage 3 gloss Schwarz paint, full tint, Brabus body kit, Brabus 19” rims, upgraded black fisheye lamps, replaced all rear lamps, black grill, Brabus running lamps, integrated side-view mirror LCD indicators, EU front placard with my late father’s initials, Re-dyed leather seats and door panels from grey to black as I just didn’t dig the two tone scheme. Brabus pedals.
Yet to be completed—Alpine navigation system with back up camera and iPod hook up. Car runs a dream. It's quiet, it's scary fast, in fact I was surprised how much more aggressive it is than my old S-500. I am quite certain this will be the last S600 I ever need to own.

That's an amazing car, pretty much the perfect W140 (although I'm not into the headlights). You should get a nice exhaust system, EuroRev is pretty close to you, I might be heading down there in a week or so to get alignment done for my friend's car.

Such a magnificent example of a w140. I truly hope we can manage to do a SoCal meet in the foreseeable future because as good as these pictures are, the darn thing must be even better in person

...gentlemen. I really enjoyed not only deciding what to do to this S-600, but also watching the progress from what it was to what it is now. Well worth waiting for. I somehow lost the pre upgrade images, they are somewhere in the bowels of my computer.

P.S.--Hope I can get it together enough to have a W140 event here as it would be rather fun to see them all lined up. Honestly, a day does not go by without seeing at least five or six of them on the roads in Santa Monica, CA.
