That is one NICE looking ride. I was checking out the pictures and saw your rear seat ashtrays are faded like mine were. My S420 is Silver with gray interior. The rubber like plastic looks like mine did before I replaced them. I survived 3 years until I broke down and purchased new ones. It bugged me. Even though I would never let anyone smoke in the car anyway. The dealership told me that they were faded from the use of ArmorAll.

yea, i know exactly what you mean. how much did those ashtrays cost you? i wonder how much the kinds in s600's cost.(the wooden ashtrays).
I know what you mean. I would never let anyone smoke in my car either. I would just kick them out.
This is what the s600 ashtrays look like, if you haven't seen them.
I got mine for: $239.80 + tax $18.58 (for the set of 2) Part #140-810-01-30-7144 0 - Old ashtrays were faded and one not working. Purchased new from Mercedes direct.
Wood trim would be interesting, as long as it matched the other trim.
I must tell you though that I did NOT put them in myself. Not sure what it involves. I had other work done and the dealership offered to install them for free. Only after I pointed out that they were charging me for 5 hours of work to install another $120.00 part. Here in my area of CA labor is $115/hour. I'm in the wrong business.
