And a my "new" '91 300SEL Brabus equipped and facelifted to 2000.
I hope to contribute to this forum as I get more experience with it.

Minnet, since you didn't get it right, (never showed for me, anyway,) allow me, because people REALLY need to see this. Excellent work. SUPER RARE wheel. Brabus Monoblock III? Oddly enough, thats a closer depiction to the direction DC should've gone with the W220 then the way they went.

Meanwhile, I attached pictures in other postings without problems, so I beleive there was a problem with the site, when I tried here.
I bought the car as you see it now. I don't know the type name of the wheels, but wheels, suspension, muffler and seats were fitted by Brabus/Kleemann (Danish Brabus representative at that time, now independent tuning company) in 93 together with a 500SE(L?) and a 600SE(L?) model. As I know, they also tuned the engine, but I don't know how.
The previous owner fitted the 2000 facelift in around 2002. He got it as a complete kit.
I'm trying to trace the history. Any help will be appreciated.

Ahhhh... THAT kit. Yes, I saw a full page ad in the very first 'Mercedes Enthusiast'I bought selling those 2000 upgrade kits with before/after pics. They were very clear, detail pics, but skepticism kept me from quiiiiite believing it. Then the second comment that sprung to mind was, to get THAT level of fit and finish and color match would easily run into $10,000US, so what's the point? put $10,000 down on a W220. However, apperantly, the previous owner disagreed.
So, from the info provided those ARE Brabus wheels. I'm pretty sure Brabus Monoblock III. Man, that guy spared no expense. Probably $20,000 in upgrades, CONSERVATIVELY.
Yes, I was told the kit was arouond $10.000. Whether it makes sense or not, you shall bear in mind, that the car is located in Denmark, where you "buy one car and pay for three" (taxes), so relatively speaking the kit was only one third.
The Brabus conversion was when the car was still young (1993)and was to my knowledge around $50.000.

Holger, looking GOOD! Those tires look pretty fat to be on 20's. No rubs? Interesting with the tailights. Made it look a little like the first gen C-Class in the back, but still NICE work. Never seen that before.
All the bad boys are starting to come out to play[:D][8D][;)]
Hi !!
Holger your car is looking AWSOME!!
The D93's are my favourites too, and the Body Kit is also great!
By the way , is it original Wald or Replica Wald Kit?
I 'm asking this , because I would like to purchase the Wald Kit(Replica or Original) as well , and would like to know your oppinion.
If it is a Replica , was it easy to fit ?
If it is Original, did you buy it in Europe?
We have heard a lot of problems with the Replica Kit Fitments, and that's why I'm curious.
I'm interested especially for the side skirts.
I have original AMG side skirts on my car , but I think they're not wide/wild enough.I like the Wald style better.
The AMG's are quite conservative , but of course it is just my oppinion.
I also wanted to write that I could easily fit 20" Rims with 265/35/20 Tyres to the rear & the front, without any mods, and there was still some place left.
So that's why I 'm going to try 21" on and I have just purchased 22" Lowenhart LDR's , and try them on as well. ( It will arrive in a month or so, I hope)
I will post pics , when the Rims arrive.
GREAT CAR Holger!
Hi there! The wald kit is a replica bougth at autoblz.com. I spend a lot of time to make it fit to the car. The rear bumber was in such a bad condition so i had to cut it in two and use the upper part of the original bumper and the lower part from the wald kit. (But thereby i got the chance to make it lower).
The side skirts had e great shape, and was easy to fit. The front bumper was a hard job, it came as en empty shell with no solutions to fasten it to the car, i used fog ligths from w210 and used a hell of a lot of time to get it to fit.............
The EISENMANN muffler help's the V12 sound like a small ferry.............
