Chrome Wheel arches

Has anyone fitted chrome arch trims to a W140?
Where do you get the parts, and how dificult is it to do?

I'm also looking at trying to remove the rear lamp units and linking 'white' trim (around trunk lock) for cleaning. Any thoughts or experience of same??

Ronan

Dont fit them man they look cheep. They are used to cover rusty up sides. Pimps and dealers use them too not classy.

Man...you guys are tough on old Ronan. I was kinda hoping to see a pic of a 140 with fender flares. That's o.k. Us 140 owners have to have tough skins.

Interesting thoughts......might reconsider yet!!! Recently saw a 420 with chrome arches fitted and thought they completed the chrome trim on bumpers and doors. Mind you, same car was being driven for a wedding...point proven, I suppose!

They may suit the older merc as chrome was the thing for all cars 20-30 yrs ago, although chrome is comin back I thick Benz have got the balance right as stock.

Use hot water and bleech on the rear lights when removed, to get rid of dirt and Moss yes moss, thats in wet countries like the UK. It builds up around the top edge behind the light.
