RE: strange cruise control issue
Will it acelerate function when you use the stalk ?. Is this on the flat ? Are all your brake lights the correct type?
do you get resume function, Did you try a power down yet to re-initialise the system??

no, by flat I am assuming you mean a flat road? then yes, its a large empty stretch of highway I always use, the brake lights are all the original stuff, and cruise used to work fine with them for 2 yrs, it just failed one day with no warning only when I am doing 100+km/h, works fine when I do 60km/h.
Powerdown? like battery removal? No I haven't done that yet.. let me find my stereo code and I will give that a go, thanks!
one thing though,... at 100km/h when I try to engage cruise, there is a very quick and subtle jerk, as if cruise tries to engage and within 0.5 second it disengages.
my cruise works when I do 60km/h, but not when I do 100 km/h or more, been like that for a month now, any ideas?
93 300SE has just started doing EXACTLY the above. Big Dan said possibly bad acutator. Anyone out there been throught this. iF so, let me know, with the $ figures and all please.

The only cruise issue I know of is when your ESP/ASR fails. But that is usually only due to a duff brake switch. A fairly cheap item to replace. So in this scenario the cruise will work untill the first or second time you press the brake pedal. Then the ESP/ASR/ABS lights come on and the cruise stops working (a failsafe measure).

Hmmmmnnn... not my issue, but duly noted. Thanks for the feedback.[:)]
