hello,I'm new here,I have a 96 600s,and after reading a lot of the imfo here I now I have to change the acumulators, but besides the bouncy ride I notice the car never go up o down, how can I tell the pump is working?(yes, the reservoir has hidraulic fluid),thank's for any help I receive here
Drive the rear of the car up onto suitable ramps. Place in PARK, engage emergency brake, and chock the front wheels. Crawl underneath. You should see a small valve like the one shown in the diagram I attached. It's labeled as 3 in the diagram. Loosen the nut on the arm labeled 3a. The lever should move freely. Leave the lever in the neutral position, and then start the car. Crawl underneath again (watching out for moving parts and hot exhaust pipes), and move the 3a lever up towards the F position. The car should rise. When my accumulators were bad, the car rose quickly. With new accumulators, it rises very slowly. You have to really watch to see the car rise. Once the car is at it's upper travel limit, move the 3a lever down to the L position, the car should lower. BE CAREFUL!! Make sure you aren't in any pinch points.
