the rear bass speakers

If the w140 rear shelf bass speakers are 6.5 each and there is 4 isnt that the equivalent then of having 2 12's?? [:0] Or atleast the bass is?

you are on the right path. Bose does that with their 901 home speakers. having 9 4.5 drivers combined to give the equivilant of a much larger driver combined with the equilization. keep this in mind when people change out their systems with "common" drivers and amps and have NO professional equilization done. Dr Amar Bose has not been researching this for the last say 40 years just for the hell of it....

hmm interesting but "bass wise" wouldnt you be getting the same bass output then with the 4 6.5's as the 2 12's?
