My central locking stopped working today so far i've :
checked the fuse : o.k
opened pump : no loose hose
When i press the locking remote i can hear a faint click from the pump but thats it ... do i have any more options before having to replace the unit altogather ...
It is probly the pump motor, someone actually replaced the brushes, and another person was looking for a motor. They dont go bad as often as the close assist but they do. I think the new one is a universal so you might need the adapter kit.
www.germanstar.net $425.00 about £250.00 and luckily the part number of the pump in my car has the same as the replacement 140.800.28.48 so i won't need a mod kit as they look identical.. i just need to know how to correctly disconnect the 5 hoses connected to the pump
