1995 S500 W140 help and advise needed

Just bought my 1995 S500 app 2 months ago. Rides fine.
Had the engine light on. Took it the dealer today. A hose was broken dealer fixed it . Cost $150.00

car was riding low. dealer suggested that i get it checked. Came back with the following.

FRONT END

Control Arm Bushing $775
Right Side Inner & Outer Axle cv Boot $495
Steering shock $140

SUSPENSION

Front shocks $650.00
Hydraulic Lines & Leveling Valve rear $950.00

ENGINE

Engine mounts $650

They did put in the hydraulic fluid to check the leak. The rear of the car is high now.

Pleaes advise if I need all this work done ???
The car does make a little thumping noise when going over the bumps at high speed but nothing out of the oridinary. I have never driven a 500 before so i cannot tell.

RE: 1995 S500 W140 help and advise needed

I don't no about some of that stuff, but I JUST sung the sweet tune of about $1300.00 with if inner/ outter balls joints, control arm bushing. And yes, it started out as a slight knock over bumps. I let it go (waaay to long) to sounding like two metal plate clnking together over bumps. It should sound like German refinement over bumps, or 18 or 19 inch rims over bumps, but def not knocking. Get it fixed. You choose to cry now or cry later. Either way, theres gonna be pain.
