Where do you guys get your trans fluid replacement kit?

I'm thinking maybe the dealer might have competitive prices... never thought I'd actually say that...

Check internet pricing partsamerica.com etc...

Be warned that some online parts carriers ship the next day... whilst others use the "send it to Texas on a mule" theory... takes weeks to get it...[:P]

Also check germanstar.com for good prices...

RE: Where do you guys get your trans fluid replacement kit?

Seems partsamerica.com didn't carry the transmission fluid kit, at least not online. And germanstar.com is a website for writing instruments... ???

I live in Chicago, USA.

I ended up getting the filter, gasket, fluid (synthetic for my particular tranny), and locking pin (my model doesn't have the dip stick) at the local dealer -- about $120 total, which is CHEAP for the benefit it will bring. Even for brand comparison, the same kit for my A8 was over $200. The locking pin is on the dipstick tube cover, behind the engine bay. They recommend just breaking off the old one on top of the cover and putting on a new one -- 50 cents. You'll need to get to it to help refill the tranny.
