oil change and brakes

hey everyone, got another question for ya.......to do my oil change, do i need any special tools or instructions?? i have done on american cars, but never on my benz...... i know where the filter is, but not the drain plug....95 s320....also, i need to do my brakes, i think the front ones, are they a lot different than american ones??? and what is the deal with the sensors on the brakes....and also to let you guys know, i am taking the benz baby in for a checkup on the tranny because of that smoke i had the other day, they are charging me 98 bucks to check it out, is that a lot or cheap??? i have never taken it to mb to get it looked at or serviced....thanks for your info in advance

I always go to the MB shop for oil change. They don't drain it, but suck it out, which is considered the best(most effective in taking out all oil) way by Mercedes-Benz. I always bring my own (fully synthetic) oil + filter (original MB, from Ebay), no problem for them, they charge about 20 mins labour for this!

Seems most convenient for you too... in order to reach te the drain plug you have to dismantle the plate (mounted for better airodynamics) under the engine. Not a happy thing to do under a 2,000 kg car.

I have a S320, the drain plug is on the side of the oil pan (directly under the engine). I just jack the car under the frame with a block of wood to not dent the frame.

To remove the oil filter, you need to get one of those "wrench adapters" (3" or 74-76mm) from autozone or walmart. You need it to remove the lid of the oil canister, in order to remove the filter element inside.
