body roll

i think the s500 1998 has more body roll than any car ever, its scary sometmes going around bends, hell, its so bad i ended up doing a 360 in this car on the freeway once, tho it was raining. but still the side to side body roll is so massive in this car, my 85 car doesnt have it, and my 2001 doesnt for sure, what u think

RE: body roll

I think you need to get that checked by an MB mechanic.

RE: body roll

With Princess Diana's death there was a layman's discussion in some press that W140 roadholding was "difficult" or even "unsafe". That's certainly a falsehood.

I tried the limits of my W140's roadholding on a racing track, and discovered the car has really fine manners.

However, a disadvantage MB engineers had to face, is that the weight of the double pane windows heightens the car's centre of gravity by 2 inches, which of course significantly increases body roll.

Nevertheless, to my experience this weighty Benz can be great fun to push to it's limits in sharp bends, whether these mean 180 km/h at a curvy mountain highway or 40 km/h at hairpin bends.

I was never able to enforce a 360deg skid. Perhaps you should try a slid-pan, or check on your tire profile!
