I thought that I would pass on this information about my S320 air con losing all it's gas.
Yesterday was the hottest day of the year so far in England and I was out in my car enjoying the luxury of climate control.
After parking for a few hours I set off back home in my stinking hot car sure in the knowlage that in a very few minutes all would be cool and comfortable!
Oh no it wasn't, nothing but warm air from the vents and running the diagnostic showed that the refrigerant pressure was down to 5 bar and dropping, when I got home it was down to 1 bar.
Expecting the worst, ie the condensor or evaperator, I did a sniff test at work and low and behold the sight glass in the reciever/drier was cracked, so all it needs is a new reciever/drier £34.00 from a local dealer and I will be up and running. So if you have a failure, check for oil around the top of the said unit and if so, get a new one (not second hand as the dessicant will be saturated).
