Xenon headlamps were standard on the S500 and S600 starting in 1997. Correct me if I'm wrong -- I don't believe the NAV system came out until 2000 with the new body style. 1999 was the last year for the W140 chassis.
Later W140s have Nav option else where of the world... US/Canadian Spec W140s never had Nav as an option....
As for Xenon, it became available in 1997 as stated above... Standard on S-Class Coupe, optional on sedans.... Minor facelift and Parktronic almost apeared in 1997.....

In Germany and some other countries you could order a Mercedes-Benz Radio with a SatNav system integrated. It looked similar to the Mercedes-Benz Exquisit unit, only with a larger screen.
There are some post factory retrofit units which will move the central dash top switches into the central front seat console to fit a large SatNav screen on top of the A/C controls. Looks nice, although it looses the original feel completely.
Worlwide the Xenons were available on all W140 models starting April 1996. In the States they were available until 1997. Depending on the market they were either available as an option or standard, but mostly the coupes had them standard and the sedan as options.
